Free Workshop on Hindustani Classical Music: by Prof. Veena Chandra. This workshop by accomplished artist Prof. Veena Chandra will invite children and adults of all backgrounds to participate in an exciting session in which the artist will teach them the basics of Hindustani classical music in a simple, easy-to-understand fashion. Date and Time: Saturdays, February 20th thru' May 1st 2010, 2 pm-4 pm Venue: Classroom 3, Hindu Cultural Center. Pre-registration requested. Temple Membership Dues
With recent developments, concerning the past elections it is required that one become a voting member in January 2010 if he/she wishes to contest in the elections to be held in November 2010. As always, family membership dues are $125/- and individual membership dues are $75/-. All members enjoy a 10% discount on all services offered by the temple in addition to discounts on Heritage class membership and the summer camp. This is also a reminder to all those who were members during the past year to renew their membership as soon as possible for the upcoming year. Membership form is downloadable here-
The Hindu Temple Society of Capital District, Inc. located in Loudonville, NY is a place of worship for devotees of the Hindu religion. While it's primary goal is to serve residents of the capital district, visitors from all over the world take part in its activities. Religious discourses and cultural activities are held at the temple and all the Hindu religious festivals are celebrated. The temple offers religious services at the temple and at individual homes, on request. It is a non-profit, tax exempt organization.
